MAKING PRE-LOVED LOVABLE AGAIN
We are independant enthusiasts and not a dealership.
Over the years a number of MINIS have been taken in, repaired and improved. We cannot keep them all so reluctantly they've been found loving new homes.
The COOPER S (Known as the R53 Variant) is the main focus.
Like many cars of a certain age and price point, the earlier MINIS started to reach the unloved 'banger' section of the car world.
Often misunderstood with largely unfounded horror stories of difficult issues and expensive ongoing maintenance, many owners just left them unmaintained and to slowly die.
The realisation that these are actually great cars and should be saved has led to a growing following and a new lease of life for many of them.
Save and Improve is the main aim.
A good expample is the stunning Chilli Red one our ' Cover' Car
THIS IS HOW WE FOUND IT.......
This poor thing was about to be stripped and used for track days.
A cracked windscreen and shabby bodywork with the standard lacquer peel often found on Red cars was just too much expense for it's then owner.
Fortunately we got there just in time and found a really good car lurking underneath.
Some bodywork with the Aero Bumper and Skirts improved the looks along with some new wheels and tyres.
A Supercharger service, Upgraded Intercooler, Pulley and a couple of other nice mods improved performance and the drive.

Nobody wants to sit in 20+ years of other peoples mess. We always remove the seats, give the carpet a good shampoo and clean up and make that interior as fresh as possible. Worn or damaged trim is always replaced with original parts.
The Panoramic Roof..... A great option unless it's leaking.
Many have blocked drains and if left unchecked can cause havoc as well as a rather nasty odour.
We check and clear the drains of any blockages and replace the seals where needed. In the worst cases the interior has been stripped out and the carpets replaced if water has penetrated too far.
The Supercharger on the R53 is a serviceable part.
Unless there's evidence of a recent service this is carried out along with the Water Pump, Drive Belt and various seals.
There are endless performance and power upgrades available. These are really a personal choice and a subject for further discussion.
One we found in need of some love.....
This nicely specced pre-facelift was mainly sound but 'visually challenged' but after some hard work this Ugly Duckling really did become a magnificent Swan!
A truly amazing outcome after a lot of hard work (& expense) Now with it's delighted new owner and still going as good as it looks.
Rust under the rear lights is a common problem. This was cut out and new sections welded in, never to return.
The original White roof had suffered lacquer peel, this prompted having the roof painted Chilli Red with matching Mirror Caps. That modern twist really set this one apart.
A seamless blend of fresh paint to the rear.
Freshly Powdercoated wheels and a deep detailing brought this up to a standard we're really proud of.
Any vehicle of this age will have some bodywork issues. We have a meticulous bodywork genius with 30+ years experience. He's done some great work and turned these imperfections around.
Deep into a Supercharger Service and other preventative maintenance.
Water Pumps and gaskets are always replaced along with any other components likely to cause trouble.
The R53 is at least 18-Years Old Now.
Power Steering Pumps, Suspension / Bushes and Sub-Frames are all checked and maintained as part of our routine.
Let some more air In. A slightly larger Intercooler and an upgraded Air Filter will add small performance gains, but more importantly better economy and responsiveness.
