THERE'S ALWAYS A NEW PROJECT OR A LATEST ADDITION IN THE GROWING MINTI-MINI WORLD

An early 2003 Pre -Facelift.
Chilli Red with Black Roof and accents.
Panoramic Roof.
Climate Control.
Half Leather Seats.
Completely stock, no mods.

This comes from long-term lady ownership, it's been loved with plenty of service history.
It's suffered some country lane scars along the way. The Chilli Red paintwork hasn't succumed to laquer peel and the interior shows minimal wear.
This is a perfect candidate for a full-on rejuvenation.
Watch this space.

A serious deep clean. The seats have just had a deep steam and clean with the leather rejuvenated and treated.

The refresh has started. This will include:
A Supercharger Service.
New waterpump, thermostat and expansion tank with all the seals & gaskets along the way.
A new rocker cover gasket and bolts.
Anything else looking past it's best will be changed.

This lovely and clean Electric Blue R53 was sold pretty much as soon as it arrived late last year.
We didn’t get a chance to give it our usual treatment, but now it’s back (due to horrendous insurance premiums for its previous ‘millennial’ owner)

AERO front bumper fitted. Replacement wheels. Supercharger serviced. Clutch replaced. Full-on seats out deep clean. The list goes on. Please see the CARS FOR SALE page for more.

One is very poorly with a blown head gasket and an engine that sounds like a 1950's tractor.
The other runs perfectly but suffers with the Dreaded Red lacquer peel.
One will be saving the other and any other parts in decent shape will be used to save and help other MINIS.
We NEVER want to see a MINI die but that's sometimes their fate when they're uneconomically viable to save. We won't get all 'Eco Warrior' and bang on about recycling, but this is the the very epitome isn't it?
Will an E.V be recycled or help to save another in 20+ years ?
We all do it, an obsession with ‘low mileage’ now we're not talking about Classic Aston's or Bona-Fide Concours Cars that live in a heated cocoon, we're talking regular everyday moderns.
An 18-year-old car covering a modest 8,000 a year should be on around 144,000 by now. That car has been driven, used regularly and very likely got to temperature all the components have had the oil reach them and ancillaries like the brakes and suspension had a chance to fully warm up and operate.
The low mileage one has either spent a lot of its life doing short journeys and therefore not warming up before being stopped, or it’s just spent a lot of time sitting about.
All cars ‘sweat’ that’s condensation and moisture building up, what happens with no air-flow getting around to dry that off ? RUST The Arch Enemy.
We walk away from too many low mileage ones for this very reason, we'll take the one that's been used regularly.
Sadly all too often REST = RUST
